Thank you for visiting our website. I pray you find something here that will encourage you and, if you don’t have a home church, will give you a desire to visit us. I count it a great privilege to be serving my Lord Jesus Christ as Pastor of First Baptist Church of New Castle, VA. My family and I have a burning desire within us to help families grow into the God honoring units they were designed to be at creation. A church fellowship, a home, a family, a marriage and an individual will never be satisfied with anything less than a close, undefiled relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I have grown to realize that the greatest fulfillment in life is having that kind of relationship with Him, together with my family. The more we learn to love the Lord with our whole heart, the deeper and more fulfilling our love is for one another. Our church family can only be as strong as our homes are; that is why Satan has an all out attack on our families today. He knows if he can render our homes dysfunctional, he can render our churches dysfunctional and the gospel of Christ will not reach the next generation.
I am so thankful for the promise in I John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” When we know Jesus as our personal Savior, we have every thing we need to live a victorious life. You see, God is our creator. His word tells us that, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the Earth. (Gen.1:1) and that, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him;” (Gen. 1:27). Once we accept this, we know that He is the only one who is capable of giving us what we all desire, that is – peace. If you have not experience that peace today, please click on our God’s Plan of Salvation page and find out what it means to make peace with God. Our heartfelt prayer is for all to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and become actively involved in a Bible believing, Bible preaching church that cares for you. At First Baptist Church, we believe in strong preaching, sound doctrine and being devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word; we make no apologies for this. We must get back to standing in awe of God and who He is. “Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.” (Ps. 33:8).
Please let us know if we can help you in any way. Our doors and arms are always open to all who enter here.
